Help Wanted

Help! I'm working on a revised CV. (No, I'm not on the job market. I need to include it with a proposal.) I think I once heard that after a certain amount of time, you shouldn't lead with your degrees but with either your teaching or your publications. Does anyone have any good advice on this? Anyone willing to forward a sample?

I think you are talking about an experiental resume. If you have more tan 5 years specialized experience specifically tailored to meet the position, then I think you should go that route.

Experience, Specialized skills, Education, Awards-Honors-Affiliations

Thanks!

I agree with Justin -- especially for a proposal, except what is the proposal for? A grant? A conference presentation? Most of the time, experience outweighs education.

Thanks, Karen and Justin. It's definitely a case where experience outweighs education. I appreciate the comments.
