Thanks, M. I always forget how exhausted I get from the actual work of submitting when I make a day of it. Still, it feels great to have the poems out there in the world.
There is definitely an optimistic buzz about the whole process, M. I love it, too.
As for the math...it all depends on how you're counting...fuzzy math maybe. Ultimately I sent to 10 journals, 5 poems a piece. I like the balance in those numbers. However, I was only dealing with 10 poems total. I do simultaneous submissions.
